ISL 2026-27: NorthEast United FC fixtures for Phase 1

The Highlanders will begin their ISL 2026-27 campaign on October 12.

The Indian Super League (ISL) is set to return to its original double round-robin format from the 2026-27 season after a shortened campaign last season due to uncertainty around the league. The 2026-27 season scheduled to start on October 10, will also mark the beginning of a new era under the club-led model.

The fixtures for the Phase 1 of ISL 2026-27 are finally out and is scheduled to run from October 10 to January 17, with the fixtures of Phase 2 yet to be announced.

The Highlanders, led by head coach Juan Pedro Benali enter this season with renewed hopes of lifting their maiden ISL title. NorthEast United FC, who have had a good pre-season prior to the ISL 2026-27, will hope to give joy to their fans and get positive results will begin their ISL 2026-27 campaign against Mohun Bagan SG on October 12 at the IGA Stadium in Guwahati.

Imphal to host one NorthEast United FC home game in Phase 1

November 24 will mark a historic date for Manipur football as Imphal gears up to host its first even Indian Super League (ISL) game, when the home side NorthEast United FC welcome Sporting Club Delhi at the Khuman Lampak Stadium in Imphal. This is a good step forward from NorthEast United FC to further the club’s reach from just Guwahati to other places of NorthEast.

The Highlanders are playing 12 games in the Phase 1 of ISL 2026-27. The month of October will see the Highlanders play three home games against Mohun Bagan SG, Kerala Blasters FC and Bengaluru FC on October 12, 18 and 30 respectively, and one away game against Odisha on October 24.

The month of November will also see NorthEast United play three home games and one away game. The home games in November will be played against FC Goa, Sporting Club Delhi and Punjab FC on November 21, 24 and 30 respectively. The only away trip in November will be when they fly to Goa to face Churchill Brothers on November 5.

The Highlanders will later play three matches in December with just one home game in the month. NorthEast United will play Chennaiyin FC at home on December 6 before flying out for two away trips against Inter Kashi and East Bengal on December 12 and 21 respectively.

After a long break, NorthEast United will play their last match of the Phase 1 against Mumbai City FC on January 17 away from home.
