Mumbai City FC have announced the signing of Wilmar Jordán Gil. The Colombian centre-forward joins the Islanders on a one-year deal until the end of the 2026-27 season.

Jordán arrives at the City of Dreams on the back of a strong season with Malaysian side Immigration FC, where he scored 11 goals and provided 4 assists.

His finishing, strong presence in the box, and experience of Indian football make him a valuable addition to the Islanders’ squad.

Wilmar joins Mumbai City on one-year deal.

Jordán began his senior career in Colombia before moving to Venezuela, where he made a name for himself with Monagas, scoring 19 goals in his first season.

He then moved to South Korea, representing Gyeongnam and Seongnam, before joining Bulgarian side Litex Lovech. It was there that he enjoyed one of the most prolific spells of his career, scoring 29 goals in 54 appearances and finishing as the Bulgarian top-flight’s joint-top scorer in the 2013-14 season.

He subsequently played in Portugal, Colombia and Venezuela before moving to India in 2022. He represented NorthEast United FC, Punjab FC and Chennaiyin FC, scoring 26 goals across his three Indian Super League campaigns. He also finished as the top scorer in the 2023 Super Cup, scoring seven goals.

Wilmar Jordán Gil, Forward of Mumbai City, stated that.

The Islanders have secured four back-to-back foreign signings after parting ways with Joni Kauko, Nuno Reis, Jorge Ortiz and Pereyra Diaz ahead of the ISL 2026-27 season. Mumbai City FC have retained Vikram Partap Singh, Sahil Panwar and Ahan Prakash.

Mumbai City FC have also signed some good players who can bring quality to the team in the ISL 2026-27 season. They have managed to acquire the services of Muhammed Ajsal from Kerala Blasters FC and Ashish Sibi from Dempo, following the departure of Phurba Lachenpa to East Bengal FC, Sibi’s role could be very important in the new season.

Mumbai City FC have also signed some good foreigners so far in the window. The Islanders have acquired the services of Sergio Llamas and Carlos Delgado, who previously featured in the Indian Super League (ISL), and then they also secured the signing of Uruguayan forward Leandro Otormín.
