Hyderabad FC have emerged as one of the most prominent clubs in the Indian Super League (ISL) after arriving in 2019, replacing FC Pune City.

Goal-scorers are the most important players in football because they directly decide the outcome of the matches. All the build-up means nothing without someone having the ability to convert the chances and put the ball at the back of the net, turning effort into victory.

In six years, Hyderabad FC have seen several goal scorers who are well-experienced. From the likes of Ogbeche, to the emerging talents of Mohammad Yasir, Halicharan Narzary. The club have welcomed goal scorers from various corners of the globe. Moreover, Hyderabad FC have also had the privilege of hosting legendary figures like Edu García and Marcelinho.

Here are the top five all-time highest goal-scoring players for Hyderabad FC:

5. Aridane Santana – 10 goals

Spanish striker Aridane Santana signed for the Yellow and Black from Odisha FC. Santana quickly established himself as an important player, combining physical fitness with aerial abilities. This blend made him equally adept as a ruthless target man capable of holding up play, and fox-in-the-box with a skill for scoring goals from tight spaces.

While playing for Hyderabad in the Indian Super League, Santana performed well, with 10 goals and two assists in 18 matches. He was instrumental to the team’s success due to his ability to shield and move past defenders for scoring goals.

The Spaniard was on the pitch for 2741 minutes and scored 19 goals, providing four assists in his time in the ISL, thus proving his ability to score while playing in different roles.

4. Joel Chianese – 11 goals

Australian forward Joel Chianese made an important impact during his three seasons with the Yellow and Black in the Indian Super League. Introduced to the ISL in the year 2020, Joel Chianese proved himself worthy of the status of a key player under the guidance of Manolo Marquez.

In his 57 appearances for Hyderabad FC, he demonstrated his versatility, playing in various positions across the midfield and attack positions, scoring a total of 11 goals. His contributions extended beyond goals, as he played a key role in the team’s overall performance. Chianese is currently one of the key forwards at Perth Redstar FC.

3. Joao Victor – 14 goals

João Victor de Albuquerque Bruno, more commonly known as João Victor, has been regarded as one of the club’s legends. He has been one of the most loved and followed players of Hyderabad FC.

João made 71 appearances for Hyderabad, scoring 12 goals and getting three assists. He also served as the team’s captain during the championship-winning run in the 2021-22 season, where he demonstrated excellent leadership qualities and a strong work ethic. Known for his versatility, the midfielder also excelled in multiple positions, including central midfield, defensive midfield, and even centre-back.

He was the sole foreigner left at the club in the 2023-24 season when the Nawabs had a financially difficult period. He played a crucial role in mentoring and guiding the young squad filled with Indian talent.

2. Javier Siverio – 16 goals

The 2021-22 season proved to be a landmark year for Hyderabad FC, and a significant contributor to their success was Javier Siverio. The Spanish striker arrived at the club from Las Palmas Atlético.

Over his time with the club, Siverio made around 60 appearances, showcasing his dedication and versatility on the field. During this period, he scored a valuable 16 goals. His goal-scoring ability, coupled with his will to work hard, made him a valuable asset.

Whether it was providing an attacking outlet, link-up play, or taking crucial penalties, Siverio proved his worth in various attacking scenarios. Javier Siverio is now with Jamshedpur FC.

A name synonymous with goals and glory for Hyderabad FC is Bartholomew Ogbeche. The Nigerian striker, affectionately called “Big Bart” by fans, arrived in the 2021 summer transfer window. He swiftly became a fan favourite due to his clinical finishing and dominant play.

His time with the Nawabs was nothing short of legendary. Ogbeche netted an incredible 33 goals, proof of his scoring skills, which also earned him the Golden Boot. He also holds the records for the second-highest goal scorer in ISL history and the highest goal scorer for Hyderabad FC.

His contributions were instrumental in the team’s first-ever ISL Cup triumph, proving his mark as one of the league’s most feared strikers. In 2023, he announced his retirement, calling time on an illustrious career.
