PV Vishnu recently scored a brilliant 32-second goal against Odisha FC in the ISL.

East Bengal‘s right-winger, PV Vishnu, has emerged as a bright spot in an otherwise challenging season for the club. While their current position near the bottom of the ISL table paints a different picture, Vishnu’s contributions mainly as a substitute can’t be ignored.

His most remarkable feat this season was etching his name in ISL history by scoring the league’s fastest goal against Odisha FC at a staggering 32 seconds. This wasn’t a fluke either. Matches against FC Goa and Hyderabad FC showcased his ability to weave past defenders and create scoring opportunities, a vital skill for any team struggling offensively.

Vishnu’s strength lies in his ability to exploit weaknesses on the flanks. His bursts of pace and clean first touches allow him to surge past opponents, potentially creating space for himself or his teammates. This attacking prowess could be a much-needed weapon for East Bengal in their upcoming clash against Kerala Blasters.

Beyond just goals, Vishnu possesses a keen eye for picking out teammates in dangerous positions with his passing. Although he hasn’t got much opportunity to showcase that skill at East Bengal, these deliveries can be a real threat for Kerala Blasters.

PV Vishnu’s versatility extends beyond attacking prowess; he’s adept at tracking back and aiding defensively. While his contributions have bolstered Carles Cuadrat’s East Bengal, they haven’t sufficed to secure a satisfactory position in the league standings.

The upcoming match against Kerala Blasters promises to be an interesting one. If Kerala Blasters’ defenders underestimate Vishnu’s threat, he could be the key to unlocking East Bengal’s attacking potential and helping them climb out of the bottom half of the table.
