Hyderabad FC won their maiden title in the 2021-22 ISL season

Hyderabad FC are a club that has rapidly ascended to prominence in the Indian Super League (ISL) and have experienced a fascinating evolution under the tutelage of a series of talented coaches.

From the meticulously crafted passing combinations and patient build-up play orchestrated by Manolo Marquez, who guided the team to their historic ISL title, to the more direct and aggressive approaches implemented by subsequent managers like Thangboi Singto the club’s playing style has undergone a series of dynamic transformations.

Below is a detailed review of each coach’s tenure, highlighting their performance, key signings, and overall impact on the team.

Manolo Marquez also won their maiden title under the gaffer. His last season with the Nawabs ended on a disappointing note as Hyderabad FC lost their spot in the finals to Mohunbagan in a penalty shootout. Hyderabad FC won their maiden title on March 20, 2022, in Fatorda, Goa. They beat Kerala Blasters 3-1 on penalties after the match finished 1-1 after extra time.

Thangboi Singto is also the first Indian HeadCoach to win an ISL game with an all-Indian contingent. He then continued as the HeadCoach for the Nawabs even for the 2024-25 season but was not able to deliver the expected performances despite having a better squad and foreigners

Thangboi Singto’s mixed start led to his dismissal, and interim coach Shameel Chembakath now leads the team.
