Hyderabad FC face a stern test as they take on Mohun Bagan Super Giant in their upcoming match. The team has had a quick turnaround after their recent victory over Mohammedan SC, the Yellow and Black Brigade play their next match within the gap of three days, which could impact their recovery time. In contrast, the Mariners have had a longer break, allowing them to rest and recover well. This could give them a physical advantage over the Nizams.
But despite that, Hyderabad FC head Coach Thangboi Singto believes that his team will give their best and are ready to face the upcoming challenge.
Thangboi Singto’s thoughts
“We had a little bit of time in the FIFA window to sort of work on the physical aspect of our team, We knew that the players we had had the quality and the spirit to perform better.”
The tactician acknowledged that the recent win was important for the momentum to keep the team going but also expressed that it would not be easy to face a strong team like Mohun Bagan
“We scored a big win against Mohammedan but on the same note, playing Mohun Bagan is always tough because it’s a different ball game altogether, because Mohun Bagan as a squad, if you see their bench, they are one of the strongest teams in the league.

“The last time we faced each other I remember it was the last season in the Super Cup, it was an intense game because we almost won the match. But unfortunately, there was a long clearance and we scored an own goal.”
“So, yeah, do we wish for a little bit more days in preparation? Of course, but it is what it is. Yesterday was more of a recovery day. Today we did our best in terms of not pushing them too much or too little, trying to balance it out so that the players who play are fresh as much as possible tomorrow.
“And whoever is on the bench, I think they will have a big role to play. So, It will be a tough game, but I think we are ready as much as we can be,” Thangboi Singto added.
“I think the players have developed an additional sense of responsibility, I think that understanding of their responsibility towards themselves as an individual is growing.
“We have to keep helping them. And like I said, I think, that a happy and spirited team always has a better chance to do well in every aspect of life,” Thangboi Singto concluded
