Hyderabad FC earned their first point in ISL 2024-25.

The Indian Super League (ISL) match between Hyderabad FC and Chennaiyin FC at the GMC Balayogi Stadium Hyderabad ended in a goalless draw.

Hyderabad FC maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a draw against Chennaiyin FC in their home opener. Despite their efforts to secure a victory, the Nizams were unable to break the deadlock, resulting in a share of the points. This draw marks Hyderabad FC’s first draw of the season, following two consecutive losses.

Hyderabad FC (Preeti R)

Arshdeep Singh – 7.5

This was probably one of Arshdeep’s best performances for Hyderabad FC. Not only was he good with his ball distribution but also impressed with some incredible 6 saves

Muhammad Rafi – 7.0

Muhammad Rafi had many clearances and was excellent with his ball recoveries. Put in a real shift to get his side a clean sheet.

Alex Saji – 7.0

Alex Saji has been the heart and soul of Hyderabad’s defence. With crucial interceptions and tackles, Alex has truly led the team from the front

Parag Shrivas – 6

Parag who did well defensively disappointed by getting two yellows which resulted in him getting a red card forcing him to leave the field mid-game.

Ramhlunchhunga – 6.5

Played many passes into the final third, and was precise with his defensive actions on the wings.

Lenny Rodriguez – 6.5

Lenny was the most experienced player on the field and was very active ever since the beginning and was great was his pressing. His passes were also pretty decent, and he was once again impressive with his display

Issac Vanmalsawma – 6.5

He was often trying to penetrate Chennai’s defence and tried to create chances. Had a pretty decent performance overall

Abdul Rabeeh – 7.5

Abdul Rabeeh had one of the most impressive performances in the game today. He created 2 chances and won the possession 4 times. With an impressive 33 touches, He also won 5 duels out of 13.

Substitutions

Devendra Murgaokar – 5.5

Did not have a lot to contribute after coming on, but was satisfactory with his presence in the midfield.

Laldanmawia – 6

Despite coming on late Laldanmawia had contributed with some good tackles

Soyal Joshy – N.A

Soyal had limited time to make a significant impact

Abhijith PA – 6

Made a decent performance with the limited time he had to perform.

Chennaiyin FC (Akash Dhanagaran)

Samik Mitra- 6.5

Samik had some long passes, without any pressure until the first drinks break. He made an incredible block in the 38th minute and didn’t have much pressure, as the defense cleared the opponent’s strikes.

PC Laldinpuia- 6.5

Laldinpuia was solid in his defense and gave a tough fight to the Hyderabadi strikers and midfielders. An aggressive slide got him a yellow card, but that didn’t slow his game.

Ankit Mukherjee- 6.5

The solid clearance and tactical passings never gave a chance for the opponents to move forward.

Irfan Yadwad- 7.0

Irfan Yadwad was busy throughout the game taking big chances to score and keep the game active in the midfield. The tackling and snatching the ball away from the opponents created chances to move forward.

Lalrinliana Hnamte- 7.0

Hnamte had some brilliant clearance in the midfield and never made the opponents surpass him. His passes were accurate and helped the team to take chances.

Laldinliana Renthlei- 6.5

Laldinliana cleared some difficult strikes, but the wet field made it difficult for him in the mid-match but assisted with several throw-ins.

Farukh Choudhary- 7.0

Farukh Choudhary was actively stealing the ball to the opposite side, however he had some trouble with the skiddy field. Had some long passes and strikes to the target, but landed on the goalkeeper’s gloves.

Substitutes

Gurkirat Singh- 6.5

Enters in the 59th minute replacing Irfan Yadwad. He was actively trying to strike, missed a header, and came out assisting with several crosses, but got cleared from the opponent.

Kiyan Nassiri Giri- 5.5

Nassiri entered the match replacing Hnamte in the 85th minute and didn’t have much of a role.

Vincy Barreto- 6.5

Vincy Barreto entered the game replacing Farukh in the 82nd minute and was actively pushing his pace clearing the Hyderabadi midfielders, but the opponent’s defense cleared his chances.
