Hyderabad FC vs Mohun Bagan Player Ratings: Manvir, Saji shine as Sahil, Mehtab disappoint | ISL 2024-25

The thrilling encounter between Hyderabad FC and Mohun Bagan Super Giant ended in a 2-0 defeat for the home side in the Indian Super League(ISL).
The Mariners were in the lead by half-time with a goal and sealed their win with a second goal. Despite their efforts, Hyderabad FC could not bounce back to winning ways.

Biaka Jongte – 6
While he made a few crucial saves to keep his team in the game, he was unable to prevent two goals from being scored against him. There were moments where he could have done better to deny the opposition.
Parag Shrivas – 6
Parag’s defensive solidity was instrumental in the second half. Not only was Parag contributing defensively he also contributed with his timely runs.
Alex Saji – 7.0
Alex Saji like always led the team and was impressive with his defensive skills. His ability to read the game and anticipate the opposition’s moves has been a key asset for Hyderabad FC.
Muhammad Rafi – 6
Rafi put in a solid performance despite the team’s loss. His defensive contributions, including crucial interceptions and clearances, were vital in limiting the opposition’s attacking threat.
Ramhlunchhunga – 6.5
The talented Mizo forward showcased his creativity and attacking skills creating numerous opportunities for his team. His ability to find space, deliver accurate passes, and take on defenders was instrumental in Hyderabad FC’s offensive efforts.
Issac Vanmalsawma – 6.5
Issac Vanmalsawma put in a spirited performance for Hyderabad FC against Mohun Bagan Super Giant. His dynamic runs and creative playmaking abilities were evident throughout the match. While he didn’t manage to convert his chances into goals, his impact on the game was undeniable.
Abdul Rabeeh – 6
Rabeeh’s incredible pace was constantly visible with his dribbling skills. But an error in the midfield led to him losing the ball to Thapa resulting in them conceding the goal.
Substitutes
Ayush Adhikari – 6
Ayush Adhikari had come up for Issac Vanmalsawma in the 68th minute.
Devendra Murgaokar – 6.5
Devendra made a significant impact on the game, coming on with a clear intent to score. He created a couple of dangerous scoring opportunities, showcasing his experience
Lenny Rodriguez – 6
Lenny Rodriguez who has just come back from an injury showed immediate impact as he came in the 75th minute to replace Abdul Rabeeh
Leander D’Cunha – N.A
Leander who had come in for an injured Muhammad Rafi had a limited game time but had a decent performance overall.
Mohun Bagan (By Anuj T)
Vishal Kaith – 6
Kaith was a solid presence at the back. The keeper hardly made a save and his kit man will be happy in conclusion.
Anirudh Thapa – 6
The midfielder threaded an impressive through ball for the first goal which was well dispatched by Manvir Singh. However, picked up a silly yellow card in the 61st minute.
Manvir Singh – 7.5
The striker was employed on the right wing and was tireless throughout the game. He showed an excellent reading of the game to latch on to Thapa’s excellent through ball and showed composure one-on-one against the keeper. He was the star man on the night for MBSG FC and led the attack in some style.
Subhasish Bose – 7
Subhasish struggled to contain Hyderabad wingers in the first half and even found himself in the referee’s book with a yellow card. However, bounced back in the second half on the back post to extend Mohun Bagan’s lead to 2-0. Bose also was defensively sound and crucially cleared any imminent dangers.
Sahal Abdul Samad – 5.5
Sahal looked off the pace throughout the game. He never looked comfortable on the left and found it difficult to beat his marker. He was hooked in the 65th minute in favor of winger Liston Colaco.
Deepak Tangri – 6
Tangri experienced a very bad challenge in the first half but was a solid defensive presence in the heart of midfield. Picked up a needless yellow card in the 81st minute.
Ashish Rai – 6.5
Rai was a tireless runner both in defense and in attack. The right-back nearly even got himself a goal if not for last-edged defending from Hyderabad FC defenders. Rai was a threat all night for Mohun Bagan Super Giants FC and led them to keep an important clean sheet.
Substitutes
Liston Colaco – 6
Colaco replaced Sahal in the 65th minute. Had a couple of opportunities to cause the defenders a lot of trouble. Missed a glorious opportunity to make it 3-0 when he was played in by Cummings on the edge of the box.
Abhishek Suryavanshi – N.A
Came on in the 84th minute for Anirudh Thapa. Picked up a silly yellow card for a reckless challenge. Abhishek was a passenger after coming on and couldn’t make much of an impact.
Dippendu Biswas – N.A
Came on as a substitute to provide rest for Subhasish Bose and filled in to see out the game for MBSG.
