Jamshedpur are at this level because they have quality, says Mumbai City FC coach Petr Kratky
Mumbai City FC looks to grab three points to clinch the ISL shield.
Mumbai City FC are brimming with confidence after their away win over Punjab FC and are gearing up for a crucial match against Jamshedpur FC. The latter is the only team to have defeated Mumbai City FC in the second half of the ongoing Indian Super League (ISL) season.
Jamshedpur FC, under Khalid Jamil, has been a force to be reckoned with. However, their recent thrashing by Mohun Bagan leaves them seeking redemption. This match at their home turf presents a perfect opportunity for Jamshedpur to bounce back.
Mumbai City FC, currently sitting second in the league, will be determined to avenge their previous defeat and solidify their position. Jamshedpur FC, placed seventh, will be eyeing an upset to climb the table.
Let’s take a look at what head coach Petr Kratky and forward Bipin Singh had to say:
Assessing Jamshedpur FC
Last time when both the teams met each other at the Mumbai Football Arena, it was Jamshedpur FC who secured all three points, thanks to a brave comeback. When asked how he assesses the opposition, Petr Kratky highlighted, “Jamshedpur are a good team. They are proving through the season, they are at the level they are, because of the quality they have. We lost the game, so we want to come back here and fight for the win.”
Bipin Singh also added, “We lost the first leg in Mumbai, they played well. They are playing well now too. They are a strong team. It will be a tough game. But, we are prepared too.”
Before the Break
With Jamshedpur and NorthEast United on deck before the break, coach Petr Kratky ponders the ideal pre-break form for Mumbai City FC. He asserted, “It’s always important we play well. Every game now is important. We have to go game by game. Now is Jamshedpur and we have to make sure we are ready and then the next game.”
Hitting the Ton
The Islanders forward Bipin Singh reflects on his 100th appearance for the club. “I am very happy. It’s not a simple feat to play 100 games. Mumbai City FC always gave me the opportunity and support. I would like to thank Mumbai City FC for this,” exclaimed Bipin.
