Kerala Blasters are undefeated in their last five games.

Kerala Blasters FC, one of the in-form sides in the 2025/26 Indian Super League season since the arrival of Ashley Westwood, are set to play their final game of the campaign against FC Goa at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi.

The Blasters endured a difficult start to the season under former head coach David Catala, going on a seven-game winless run. However, the mood and fortunes around the club have changed drastically since Ashley Westwood took charge alongside assistant coach Peter Hartley.

Since the former Bengaluru FC manager’s appointment, Kerala Blasters have played six matches and suffered just one defeat. They are currently unbeaten in their last five games, winning three and drawing two. That impressive run has seen them rise from being relegation contenders to comfortably securing a place in mid-table.

As for FC Goa, their long and demanding season will finally come to an end with this clash in Kochi. The Gaurs were among the first Indian clubs to begin their campaign due to their AFC Champions League commitments, making this their final outing of the season.

Despite operating with only two foreign players for most of the campaign, head coach Manolo Marquez and his coaching staff have managed to keep FC Goa highly competitive throughout the season. The Gaurs currently sit seventh in the table with 20 points from 12 matches and are coming into this fixture after an impressive draw against Mohun Bagan Super Giant.

Kerala Blasters head into the match full of confidence following a dominant 3-1 victory over Mohammedan SC in their previous game. They are unbeaten in their last five matches and have scored 10 goals during that period, highlighting their attacking resurgence under Westwood.

Players like Franchu, Kevin Yoke and Victor Bertomeu have all contributed with important goals in recent matches. However, they will face a stern test against an FC Goa side that has conceded just nine goals all season, the second-best defensive record in the league.

At the other end, FC Goa’s attack led by Dejan Drazic will aim to exploit Kerala Blasters’ defensive vulnerabilities. The Blasters have conceded in 11 of their 12 league matches this season, and the Gaurs will look to capitalize on those lapses. Players such as Brison Fernandes, Udanta Singh and Abdul Rabeeh, all of whom have struggled for goals this season, will also be eager to finish the campaign with a goal or two.

With neither side fighting for the title or battling relegation, both head coaches could use the opportunity to hand minutes to players who have featured less frequently this season.

Nevertheless, given the competitive mentality of both Ashley Westwood and Manolo Marquez, both teams will still be determined to end their campaign with a victory.
