ISL 2025-26: Kerala Blasters bring in Ndiaye Fallou in middle of season

The defender joins as a replacement for Oumar Bah
Kerala Blasters FC have completed the signing of the 23-year-old Senegalese centre-back Ndiaye Fallou for the upcoming phase of the Indian Super League (ISL) 2025-26. Ndiaye joins Kerala Blasters as a replacement for Oumar Bah, who left the club after mutually terminating his contract. The defender has joined the men in yellow on a short-term deal, which keeps him in the club till the end of this season.
Kerala Blasters FC, with three losses in three games, are currently in the early relegation battle of the league, and one of the key reasons for this is the minor lapses in the back. The addition of Ndiaye will now bring significant physical presence, aerial strength and defensive authority to the Blasters backline.
The defender has made 58 appearances in his career so far

Ndiaye Fallou is a 23-year-old defender born in Leona Thiaroye, Senegal. He started his professional footballing career at a local club, AS des Douanes. Later, he moved to Belgium, where he featured for KAA Gent U21, an academy that produced the likes of top players like Kevin De Bruyne, Thibaut Courtois and more.
After playing for around a year there, he moved to France, where he played for AC Arles. His breakthrough came in 2023, when he joined FC Haka, a team playing in the second division of the Finnish League. His performance in the second tier attracted the likes of the first division club SJK Seinäjoki.
At SJK Seinäjoki, Ndiaye made 27 appearances, where he managed to score five goals and deliver an assist. Strong in duels and comfortable defending in high-intensity matches, Ndiaye also gained experience in continental competition, featuring in UEFA Conference League qualifiers during his spell with SJK.
The defender now joins Kerala Blasters on a short-term deal till the end of the ISL season. Ndiaye will now have a huge responsibility on his shoulders to reinforce the broken Blasters’ defensive unit and potentially take the Tuskers out of the relegation battle.
What does Ndiaye Fallou bring to the table for Blasters?

Standing tall at 1.98 metres, Ndiaye can provide Blasters with the aerial dominance whenever opponents create potential threats with set pieces. Being one of the tallest players in the Tuskers squad, he can seamlessly dodge away from danger whenever the teams rely on long balls and crosses.
With a decent experience playing in the top-tier European leagues, the defender can bring in compactness and defensive maturity in the Kerala Blasters’ backline. With a good presence of mind, if he can adapt well under the Indian conditions, he could very well mitigate the silly mistakes made by the Tuskers’ defensive unit in their first three matches.
Even though it has been a year and a half since the player last featured for a club in a professional match, if he could coordinate well with his teammates and maintain good fitness in this truncated league, he could potentially solve the problems in the defence, which has been haunting Catala and his team for a while now.
