Kerala Blasters’ Club Director Nikhil Bharadwaj shared the plans in a recent interaction with fans.
Kerala Blasters FC management recently held a meeting with their season ticket holders, discussing various aspects of the team’s future endeavors. Nikhil Bhardwaj, the Director at Kerala Blasters, alongside Sporting Director Karolis Skinkys, engaged in a zoom meet with the fans, addressing queries ranging from player transfers to plans for enhancing infrastructure.
Among the topics discussed, one significant announcement revolved around the club’s intention to construct a training facility. Currently, the team utilizes the Panampilly Nagar Ground as its training base. However, recognizing the limitations posed by the existing setup and the shared usage of the ground, the management has prioritized the development of a dedicated training complex.
Nikhil Bhardwaj outlined the ambitious timeline for this project. He assured the fans that progress can be expected within the next two years. “Priority is to build training and infrastructure in 18-24 months. You can expect that in two years,” he said.
Highlighting the necessity for a dedicated training ground, Nikhil acknowledged the challenges posed by the current setup. He remarked, “The training ground has served us well over the years, but it’s not without its limitations. Furthermore, it’s not exclusively dedicated to our use.” He acknowledged the existing constraints and shared the club’s idea to providing optimal training conditions for the players.
As the plans for the training facility take shape, the club’s supporters can look forward to witnessing a new enhanced infrastructure, improved training methodologies, and ultimately, greater success on the football pitch. The support of the fans and the visionary plans from management, underscore their long-term vision of success.
