The Nizams registered their first win of the season.

Hyderabad FC humbled Mohammedan SC 4-0 in a dominant display in the 35th game of the Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25. The win also means Thangboi Singto and his new-look Nizams side register their first win of the campaign.

Mohammedan SC were outperformed by Hyderabad FC and have plenty of things to sort out after back-to-back defeats at home against Southern opponents. Fortunately for Andrey Chernyshov and his team, they have two weeks to address the issues before taking to the field next time.

With that being said, here are the Indian player ratings from the game:

Mohammedan SC (By Rutvij Joshi)

Padam Chhetri – 4.0

Padam Chhetri was lethargic in his movements, whether it be in clearing the ball that led to the first goal or making an attempt to save the third goal. In Hyderabad’s fourth goal as well he made a half attempt to save the goal.

Zodingliana Ralte – 5.5

Mohammedan SC’s captain ran up and down the left-hand side and combined with his wingers in a bid to find the back of the net but after going 3-0 down, the team lacked cohesion and there was not much Zodingliana could do.

Gaurav Bora – 4.0

Much like Padam, Gaurav Bora, and his defensive partner lacked effort in covering the opposition players, giving Hyderabad FC time and space to score the goals.

Vanlalzuidika Chhakchhuak – 6.0

Zudika was the pick of defenders as he did not allow Chhunga Hmar to cut inside and have a shot on goal. Offensively he made some underlapping and overlapping runs.

Lalremsanga Fanai – 6.0

Lalremsanga tried his best to salvage something for the home side and had given very little space for Parag to make offensive runs  for the most period.

Angousana Wahengbam – 5.0

Angousana could do very little but a 3-0 score at halftime meant he was substituted at half-time.

Bikash Singh – 6.0

Bikash switched the flanks multiple times in the hope of helping out the defense. The winger came close to scoring a goal a couple of times but it just wasn’t their day.

Substitutes

Mohammed Irshad – 5.5

Mohammed Irshad occupied a third center-back role when the Black and White Brigade were out of possession and went higher up when the team had possession. Unfortunately, he could not influence the game.

Makan Winkle Chote – 6.0

Makan Chote did have some tricks up his sleeve but whatever he did for his team did not yield results.

Amarjit Singh Kiyam – 6.0

Amarjit Singh Kiyam was introduced as part of a defensive and safe approach making sure no more goals are leaked. Made some good passes after his introduction.

Sajjad Parray – 4.5

Sajjad played his debut game in ISL this season, replacing the captain as left back, and was tested multiple times by Sourav who came in as a replacement for Abdul Rabeeh. Sajjad was lucky not to have conceded a penalty after a handball in the 86th minute.

Hyderabad FC (By Preethi)

Biaka Jongte – 7.0

Made a strong impression in his first appearance of the season, putting in a stellar performance between the sticks. Biaka also made several crucial saves, denying the opposition numerous scoring opportunities and ensuring  HFC’s defensive solidity.

Muhammad Rafi – 7.0

His defensive display was equally impressive as he tracked back diligently and made crucial interceptions. His defensive work rate and positional awareness were crucial in helping Hyderabad FC maintain a solid defensive structure.

Alex Saji – 6.5

Alex Saji was a dominant force in the air, winning numerous aerial duels and clearing the ball with authority. The center-back’s leadership qualities were also evident in the match today. Also received a yellow card.

Parag Shrivas – 8.0

Parag Shrivas was the standout performer on the field, displaying an all-round performance. He was a rock at the back, making crucial interceptions and tackles to stop the opposition’s attacks.

However, it was his attacking contributions that truly caught the eye. Parag not only scored a beautiful goal but also provided a crucial assist.

Ramhlunchhunga – 6.5

Ramhlunchhunga was a constant menace on the flank, tirelessly running and dribbling past defenders to create scoring opportunities. He combined effectively with Cy, linking up with his teammate to produce dangerous attacks

Issac Vanamalsawma – 6.5

Isaac covered the most distance in the game with an incredible total of 7.11 km. While his contributions might not have been as flashy as some of his teammates, His ability to read the play, distribute the ball accurately, and win crucial challenges was instrumental in controlling the midfield battle

Abdul Rabeeh – 6.0

Abdul Rabeeh, despite showing glimpses of his dribbling ability and attacking intent, struggled to make a significant impact on the game.

Substitutes

Sourav K- 6.5

Came in to replace Abdul Rabeeh and injected fresh energy into the team. His ability to find space was evident, as he created several promising opportunities. However, despite his best efforts, he couldn’t score a goal

Abhijith PA – 6.5

Replaced Ramhlunchhunga and showed ability to hold onto the ball under pressure and deliver accurate passes

Devendra Murgaokar – 6.5

Replaced goal scorer Allan Paulista and his substitution may not  have had the desired impact on the scoreboard, his contributions were evident in the form of dribbles

Ayush Adhikari – 6.5

Came in for Issac Vanamalsawma. And Ayush, despite limited playing time, showcased his potential with a spirited performance

Lalchhanhima Sailo – N/A

Came in for Cy Goddard and put in a decent shift in the limited game time he got.
