Mohun Bagan have won the 2023-24 ISL Shield with a gigantic win over Mumbai City, in a game that had all the drama and all the aggression, one can expect from a title deciding clash.
The home team got off to a brilliant start, and looked in full control of the game, as Liston Colaco handed them the lead in the 28th minute.
The second half saw Mumbai City come back stronger, only to be silenced by a cheeky finish by Jason Cummings, to give Mohun Bagan a two-goal cushion.
Habas’ side were made to panic in the final few minutes of the game, as Lallianzuala Chhangte got one back for the Islanders in the 89th minute, but a great show of character and might, rendered Mohun Bagan as the winners of the 2023-24 ISL season.
