Mohun Bagan looks to finish off their 2025-26 Indian Super League (ISL) campaign in style with a win over SC Delhi in their final match of the campaign on Thursday, 21 May (2026).

The Mariners might not be in control of the title race anymore, but they’ll aim to do their bit in getting a bit win to keep their title-winning hopes alive – while SC Delhi looks to play spoiler with a positive result to end their campaign.

The Stakes

Mohun Bagan

The Mariners have experienced a serious dip in form recently, having been held to draws in their last three ISL games. That has caused them to stay in second place in the table, behind East Bengal on goal difference after the thrilling 1-1 draw in the Kolkata Derby.

The Torchbearers, however, have a +5 goal difference over Mohun Bagan and that means the Mariners need to win the upcoming game by a huge margin to pip them to the title – if East Bengal wins their final game as well.

Sergio Lobera will be focused on adding more efficiency to his side, urging them to be clinical in converting their chances, as they cannot afford to miss opportunities in this next game.

A huge win for Mohun Bagan will at least help them end the season strongly, as they’ll hope the other result goes their way, but a draw or loss would not only end their title hopes but also be a grim end to the campaign.

SC Delhi

SC Delhi are winless in their last five ISL games and are desperate to get a win to at least end their turbulent campaign in a happy manner. However, they’ll need to produce their best performance of the 2025-26 campaign to be able to upset Mohun Bagan at their own yard.

They’ll need to maintain an extremely strong defensive set-up to keep the Mariners at bay and also need to be efficient in counterattacks and set-pieces.

The Australian forward just needs to get rid of the rustiness in his game, being much sharper with his movement in the final third and putting more pressure on the centre-backs to help his attackers. He needs to improve his positioning and ability to get to the end of chances again, as well as finishing them off ruthlessly to be able to guide Mohun Bagan to a dominant win.

Matija Babovic (SC Delhi)

Matija Babovic has been one of the shining lights for SC Delhi in the 2025-26 ISL campaign, managing five goals in his 11 appearances for them so far.
