Mumbai City FC are the current champions of the ISL Cup and they are surely the favourites to win the ISL Shield as well as the ISL for the upcoming season. Last season the Islanders missed the Shield after they lost to Mohun Bagan Super Giant but they took revenge from the Mariners after they defeated them in the ISL final.

Petr Kratky’s team have prepared well for the 2024-25 season as they went to Thailand for the pre-season where they played against some top-quality teams and tested their players. The Islanders have brought in top-quality players in their team and surely those players will play a crucial part in this season.

Petr Kraty will take charge of the Islanders from the beginning for the first time as he joined the club in mid-season last season when Des Buckingham left the club to join Oxford United. He managed the team brilliantly last season and fans can expect Mumbai City to play an attacking brand of football this season as well and surely we will see a lot of goals being scored by the Islanders.

Mumbai City FC are set to kick off their campaign in an away game against last season’s Shield winners Mohun Bagan.

Even though the fixtures are not that tight this time around each team has prepared well for the tournament and every match will be a difficult task for the Islanders, they will look to get as many points as can during the first half of the season.
