Both teams will aim to end their ISL league stages with a win.

After a heartbreaking 2-1 defeat to Chennaiyin FC earlier this week that shattered their dreams of making it to the ISL playoffs, NorthEast United will look to end their season on a high with a win against Odisha FC on Saturday in Guwahati.

The Highlanders will look to put up a strong fight for pride but standing in their way will be a resilient Odisha FC side. The reverse fixture ended 1-0 in favor of the Juggernauts earlier this season.

The Stakes

NorthEast United

The Highlanders’ playoff hopes were put to bed by Chennaiyin FC earlier this week. However, the Guwahati-based side will take inspiration from the turnaround that they have pulled off in comparison to last season. Juan Pedro Benali has already made his intentions clear that the team will be fighting for a win for their supporters.

Odisha FC

Odisha FC on the other hand, might look to rest their players going into the playoffs because a win will not make much of a difference for them. They come into this game on the back of a disappointing 2-1 defeat to Mumbai City FC, which ended their ISL Shield hopes. Sergio Lobera might give minutes to the players who have not played a lot of games.

Injury & Team News

Dinesh Singh will miss the game for NorthEast United due to suspension while Odisha FC are expected to field a fully fit squad.
