Odisha FC finally managed to register a win in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 season by defeating Jamshedpur FC 2-1 at the Kalinga Stadium on Saturday.

Diego Mauricio scored the first goal for Odisha in the 20th minute and Mourtada Fall scored the second in the 42nd minute to take a huge lead in the match. Unfortunately, an own goal by Mourtada Fall helped Jamshedpur to add one goal to the proceedings in the 62nd minute but it wasn’t enough to salvage anything.

Here are the Indian player ratings from the game:

Odisha FC (by Gourav Samal)

Amrinder Singh – 7.5

The skipper had a much-improved performance as compared to his last two outings. He was also well assisted by the backline.

Amey Ranawade – 6.5

Ranawade made some tactical clearances in the first half but looked to have drained out all the energy towards the end of the match.

Thoiba Singh – 6.0

Thoiba looked a bit out of touch in the match but managed to block some aggressive moves by the opponent in the second half.

Jerry Lalrinzuala – 7.0

Jerry kept the left flank under control, mostly when the opponent tried to cut through the line and create chances.

Puitea – 7.0

Puitea made some crucial runs on the pitch and kept giving his best to create more chances for his team.

Jerry Mawihmingthanga – 7

Jerry Mawihmingthanga lost his momentum in the second half but had a better performance than the last match.

Isak Vanlalruatfela – 7.5

Isak maintained his form in the middle and remained the best Indian player on the pitch in the match. Although he missed creating some chances, his aggressive attempt was quite evident to the Odisha FC faithful.

Substitute –

Rahim Ali – 5.5

Rahim entered the field in the 70th minute and had few chances on the field to prove his worth towards the end.

Rohit Kumar – N/A

Jamshedpur FC (by Saikat Sengupta)

Albino Gomes – 6

Albino failed to keep yet another clean sheet for Jamshedpur FC tonight. It would be unfair to blame him for all the goals conceded tonight, as he did pull out some crucial saves that saved them from a humiliating scoreline.

Pratik Chaudhari – 6.5

Apart from a yellow card, Pratik Chaudhari was the silver lining for Jamshedpur’s defense tonight. From making those important clearances to saving the ball from crossing the goal line by inches, Pratik was Jamshedpur FC’s best defender tonight amidst a catastrophic game.

Ashutosh Mehta – 6.0

Ashutosh Mehta did try to make overlapping runs from the right wing. However, the Odisha defense was too good tonight to get the better of Mehta. A lot of Odisha attacks were made from the right flank, upsetting the right-back’s momentum and natural flow.

Muhammed Uvais – 6.5

Uvais met a parallel fortune similar to that of Mehta as Odisha’s attack from the flanks decimated the fullbacks. Uvais, who was the outstanding performer for the Men of Steel in their last match saw relegation to their inaugural defeat of the campaign.

Sourav Das – 5.5

Sourav Das was almost on the verge of being sent off after some miscalculated challenges. He was entrusted with the responsibility to control the possession and dominate the middle of the park. However, his performance was disappointing tonight. He was subbed off in just 45 minutes.

Seminlen Doungel – 5.5

Len was brought in as the only change replacing Sanan tonight. But he failed to deliver and meet Khalid’s expectations. He was replaced by Aniket Jadhav in the beginning of the second half.

Imran Khan – 6.5

It was a difficult game for Imran as he was found helping the team defensively rather than contributing aggressively to the attack. He was seen making those crosses into the opposition’s box but the strikers failed to convert them into goals.

Substitutes

Mobashir Rahman – 7

Mobashir’s inception in the second half rejuvenated the Jamshedpur side. His ability to take extraordinary set pieces saw Jamshedpur equalise and herald their presence in the game.
