ISL 2024-25: Odisha FC vs Jamshedpur FC – Build-up

Odisha FC are gearing up to face Jamshedpur FC in their next match of Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 season which is scheduled at Kalinga Stadium on September 28 (Saturday).

The team from Odisha are yet to register a win in the league so far as they have lost both their matches. With a home advantage on their side, they will surely look to move ahead with a win and build some momentum which will be helpful for the team in the upcoming games.

Sergio Lobera’s team had an understated start in the season as they lost their first match against Chennaiyin FC by 2-3 goals and then went down against Punjab FC by 1-2 goals. They are yet to put some points on the points table as they have lost both matches. 

Jamshedpur FC

On the other hand, Khalid Jamil’s Jamshedpur FC will enter the match with high confidence as they have won both their opening fixtures in the league.

Interestingly, we are witnessing a very different team on the field compared to last season. They are playing fearlessly and putting all the effort to keep themselves motivated during their time on the field. They defeated FC Goa in their first match by 2-1 goals and Mumbai City FC in their second match by 3-2 goals. 

Undoubtedly Roy Krishna has been Odisha FC’s one of the most tactical players over the last season. In the current season, the striker has been struggling with form but has managed to score one goal so far. 

Coach Sergio Lobera will surely keep an eye on his best player on the field and utilize his experience to help his team add the first point to their name in the season. 

The Australian national has been in fabulous form in the season so far. He was clinical in helping his team win their first match of the season against FC Goa, as he scored the final goal of the match which helped them take a last-minute lead. 

Even in the match against Mumbai City FC, he scored the first equalizer which helped Jamshedpur to get back to the game. In the upcoming match, all eyes will be on the striker who could create trouble for the home side.
