Odisha FC vs Mohun Bagan SG: All time head-to-head record

Mohun Bagan SG head coach Sergio Lobera was the head coach of Odisha FC for the last two seasons.

Mohun Bagan SG will play its fourth consecutive Indian Super League game at home, against Odisha FC, despite the AIFF’s plans to host the match at the Kalinga Stadium when the schedules were issued. The match is scheduled on March 6th, 2026, at Salt Lake Stadium, with a 17:00 IST kickoff.

The Mariners enter the game in excellent form. In their first three games, they have scored nine goals and conceded just one. They are unbeaten at home since the start of the 2024/25 ISL season, having won 16 of their 17 games.

Odisha FC is among the six clubs who have not yet lost this season. TG Purushothaman has done an excellent job of bringing the best out of his players, resulting in draws against Inter Kashi and Chennaiyin FC in the two games they have played so far this season.

Even if they are still unbeaten, Sergio Lobera’s side’s prowess may be too much for Odisha FC to overcome until TG Purushothaman and his team produce something exceptional. Let’s examine the previous head-to-head record between these two teams as we prepare for the game.

Since ATK Mohun Bagan was renamed Mohun Bagan SG, they have played Odisha FC eight times in all competitions, including the AFC Champions League-2 (formerly AFC Cup). Mariners has a slightly superior record in these eight games, having won three to Odisha’s two, with three games ending in draws. Sergio Lobera was in command of Odisha for both their victories.

In the Indian Super League, Mohun Bagan SG eliminated Odisha FC in the 2023/24 semi-finals, winning 3-2 on aggregate despite losing 2-1 in the first leg. Sahal Abdul Samad scored the dramatic stoppage-time winner to take the Mariners to the finals and, indeed, win the ISL.

The most dramatic battle between the two sides in history was when they faced off in the 2024 AFC Cup. The Mariners won their opening game in Kalinga 4-0. However, Sergio Lobera’s Odisha returned to the Salt Lake, defeating Mariners 5-2 at home in front of their supporters.

In their most recent encounter, the Mariners triumphed 1-0. Dimi Petratos scored the game’s sole goal, securing the 2024/25 ISL Shield for Jose Molina’s side.
