Although the resilience and determination was effective against Chennaiyin FC and Inter Kashi FC, it will take something exceptional for them to be efficient against Mohun Bagan, who are now leading the league. Furthermore, the Mariners have gone unbeaten in their previous 16 ISL home games, winning 15 of them in a row.

Although Odisha’s defence has performed well in the previous two games, Mohun Bagan’s striking combination of Robson (or Cummings if Robson isn’t available), Petratos, and Jamie Maclaren will put them to the test. In the midfield, Apuia and Thapa are expected to comfortably win the battle against Puitea and Rohit Kumar.

For a significant portion of their previous two games, Odisha’s assault has been sloppy and ineffective. But in set-piece scenarios, they have appeared deadly. In fact, the only goal they’ve scored this season came from a set piece, as did the only goal Mohun Bagan conceded this season. So, this would be one component of the game that TG Purushothaman and his team would have worked extremely hard on.
