ISL 2024-25: Updated Points Table, most goals, and most assist after match 18, NorthEast United vs Kerala Blasters
Sunday’s Indian Super League (ISL) clash saw NorthEast United get a point against Kerala Blasters at home. The first half was a tale of missed opportunities and chances as both teams failed to convert. It was an evenly poised first 45 minutes at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati. Both teams came out strong in the second half and looked hungry for a breakthrough before NorthEast United broke the deadlock from a set-piece.
Alaeddine Ajaraie’s freekick coupled with Sachin Suresh’s mistake in the 58th minute put the hosts ahead in the tie. Kerala Blasters kept on piling up pressure before Noah Sadaoui scored a wonder goal with his left foot. And then NorthEast United were cut down to ten men after Asheer Akhtar received his marching orders. After that, the Blasters had a lot of chances, but just couldn’t convert.
