It was an interesting Saturday double header in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 today. The first game saw Khalid Jamil’s Jamshedpur FC shock Mumbai City FC with a 3-2 comeback win at home. The Red Miners conceded an early goal before Jordan Murray and Javi Hernandez produced the goods and put their side in the lead. Yoell Van Nieff did score a second for the Islanders, but couldn’t stop the home side from picking up their second win of the season.

In the second match, Mohammedan Sporting hosted FC Goa at the Kishore Bharati Krirangan Stadium in Kolkata. Alexis Gomez created history by scoring Mohammedan SC’s first ISL goal in the 66th minute, putting them ahead in the tie. The Black and White Brigade almost had their first ISL win until Armando Sadiku came to FC Goa’s rescue and scored a late equalizer.

Let us see how the ISL 2024-25 points table looks after the two games today.

A brief look at the points table

Jamshedpur FC are now placed second following their win over the Islanders while the third place is held by Punjab FC.
