The Shers clinched their second win of the season against the Juggernauts.

Punjab FC saw off Odisha FC in a spirited display that saw them beat the visitors by a 2-1 scoreline in the Indian Super League (ISL) on Friday. The home side were dominant throughout the game and did not let Odisha FC have a sniff at them. Punjab started off with Nihal Sudeesh finding the back of the net early in the game.Odisha FC tried a lot to get back in the game but failed to register even a single shot on target as it was an unusual performance from Sergio Lobera’s side. Punjab brought the same energy and intensity into the second half and were constantly eyeing a second goal before Leon Augustine put the game to bed in the 89th minute. Odisha FC earned a consolation goal in the 96th minute throwing an own goal from Ravi Kumar.

After today’s game, Bengaluru FC continue to be at the top of the ISL table with six points in hand. Punjab have moved up to the second spot and are level on points with Bengaluru FC. Chennaiyin FC are now ranked third with three points. Jamshedpur FC NorthEast United are tied on three points and are placed fourth and fifth respectively.Mohun Bagan Super Giant continue to be at the sixth spot and are level on points with Mumbai City FC who are placed seventh. FC Goa are placed eighth while Kerala Blasters FC are now ranked ninth on the table. East Bengal and Mohammedan SC share the 11th and 12th place respectively while Odisha FC have dropped down to the twelfth spot and Hyderabad FC continue to be in the last position on the ISL table.
