ISL 2023-24: Points Table, Most Goals and Most Assists after Match 109, Punjab FC vs FC Goa

This match saw a certain change in the bottom half of the ISL table.

FC Goa settled for a 3-3 draw against Punjab FC in their recently concluded Indian Super League (ISL 2023-24) match at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Delhi, on Monday, March 11, 2024. 

The match started with an early goal from Carl McHugh in the fifth minute of play that helped FC Goa to take an early lead. In the second half, Punjab equalized through Wilmar Jordan Gil in the 54th minute and went on to take the lead in the 61st minute, courtesy of Luka Majcen.

FC Goa didn’t hold back and Noah Sadaoui converted a penalty in the 72nd minute to restore parity. The game didn’t end there, as Juan Mera scored the third for Punjab in the 78th minute. FC Goa again replied with a goal from Carlos Martinez in the 84th minute to share the spoils.

A brief look at the points table 

Mohun Bagan have now taken the top spot in the table with 36 points from 17 matches. Mumbai City FC are now at second with 36 points from 18 matches, followed by Odisha FC at third spot in the ISL 2023-24 table with 35 points from 18 games.

FC Goa remain at fourth place with 33 points from 18 matches. Kerala Blasters FC remain at fifth position with 29 points from 17 matches. Jamshedpur are in sixth place with 21 points from 19 matches. Punjab FC have jumped to seventh spot with 21 points from 19 matches. They are followed by Bengaluru FC who have moved to the eighth place. They have accumulated 21 points from 18 matches.

NorthEast United FC move to the ninth spot with 20 points from 18 matches, while East Bengal are at 10th, followed by Chennaiyin FC at 11th.

Hyderabad FC remain as the bottom-placed side with just five points from 18 matches.
