Kerala Blasters moved to the eighth spot in the ISL table.

Kerala Blasters came back to winning ways with a solid and statement win against Chennaiyin FC away from home in the Southern derby. The Blasters were all over the home side and put together a well-drilled performance. They started strong from the get-go and scored the opening goal with just three minutes on the clock. Jesus Jimenez found the back of the net with a shot on the turn and put the Blasters ahead in the tie.

The Marina Machans looked determined to bounce back in the game, but Sachin Suresh stood tall and pulled off three back-to-back saves. Things went from bad to worse for the hosts when Wilmar Jordan was shown a red card and they were down to ten men. Korou Singh added the second goal for the visitors before Kwame Peprah made it 0-3. Vincy Barretto did pull a goal back, but it was a little too late.
