ISL 2023-24: Points Table, Most Goals, and Most Assists after Match 117, Odisha FC vs Punjab FC

Diego Mauricio’s brace in this ISL clash brought him back in the Golden Boot race.

Odisha FC defeated Punjab FC 3-1 in the recently concluded match of the Indian Super League (ISL 2023-24) at the Kalinga Stadium on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.

Diego Mauricio scored the first goal of the match in the 34th minute of play, while Madih Talal bagged the equalizer four minutes later.

In the second half, the match went out of sight for Punjab FC as Isak Vanlalruatfela scored the second goal for Odisha FC in the 61st minute followed by Diego Mauricio’s spot-kick seven minutes later to help the Juggernauts register a much needed win in the ISL.

A brief look at the points table 

Mumbai City FC remain at the top with 44 points from 20 matches, while Odisha FC move up to the second place with 39 points. Mohun Bagan Super Giant find themselves third with 39 points from 19 matches. 

FC Goa are in fourth place with 36 points from 19 matches. Kerala Blasters remain at fifth position with 30 points from 19 matches, followed by Bengaluru FC at sixth with 22 points from 20 matches. 

Jamshedpur FC are at seventh with 21 points from 20 matches while Punjab FC hold the eighth place with 21 points from 20 matches.

Chennaiyin FC are ninth-placed with 21 points from 19 matches followed by NorthEast United and East Bengal, on 10th and 11th, respectively.

Hyderabad FC remain the bottom-placed side with just eight points.
