ISL 2024-25: Updated Points Table, most goals, and most assists after match 123, East Bengal vs Chennaiyin FC

Both games saw at least three goals today.
The first game of this week’s ISL double-header witnessed Hyderabad FC complete the league double over Mohammedan SC in front of their loyal fans. The Nizams ran riot against the visitors and pulled off a 3-1 win. Allan Paulista broke the deadlock with a sublime finish before Ramhlunchhunga scored a wonderful free-kick from the edge of the box. Makan Chothe pulled a goal back with a flick, but Joseph Sunny put the game to bed with a goal in added time.
The second game witnessed Chennaiyin FC bounce back to winning ways with a 3-0 win over East Bengal away from home. The Marina Machans came out all guns blazing and looked desperate for a win. Nishu Kumar gave the away side an early lead with an own goal in the 13th minute.
Wilmar Jordan Gil doubled his side’s advantage with a goal in the 21st minute and Daniel Chima Chukwu put the final nail in East Bengal’s coffin with a last-minute goal.
A brief look at the points table
Not much has changed in the standings following today’s doubleheader. Mohun Bagan are still at the top of the standings with 46 points in 20 games. FC Goa remain in the second position with 36 points from 19 games. Jamshedpur FC hold the third position with 34 points. Mumbai City FC remain intact in the fourth position with 31 points. NorthEast United stayed in fifth position with 29 points. Bengaluru FC retained the sixth position with 28 points.
Odisha FC continue to sit at the seventh position with 25 points. Kerala Blasters remained at the eighth spot with 24 points. Punjab FC have not moved from the ninth spot with 23 points. Chennaiyin FC have come up to the tenth position with 21 points while East Bengal have dropped down to eleventh with 18 points. Hyderabad FC are still positioned twelfth with 16 points. Mohammedan SC remained intact at the bottom of the table with eleven points.
