It was a tight contest with both sides fighting for goals.

Problems continue to ring for Mohammedan SC in their debut Indian Super League (ISL) campaign. Things have gone from bad to worse for the Black Panthers and the road ahead is not looking good either.

They were on the receiving end of their eighth defeat of the season after going down 0-1 against Mumbai City FC in the City of Joy. The visitors created early chances, but couldn’t convert any of those.

The game turned on its head when Mohamad Irshad received his marching orders after conceding a second yellow card in the final minutes of the first half. Mumbai City FC came out all guns blazing in the second half and took the lead with a strike from Vikram Partap Singh. The Islanders kept on pushing for a second goal, but couldn’t get through and had to settle with a 0-1 win.
