Jamshedpur FC came out on top against struggling Mohammedan SC.

Jamshedpur FC finally bounced back to winning ways after facing a series of defeats last month in Indian Super League (ISL). The Red Miners looked strong from the get-go and capped off their five-star performance with a statement win against Mohammedan SC. Both teams had a few fair chances here and there in the first half but failed to open the scoring and put up a goalless first half.

Khalid Jamil’s men came out all guns blazing in the second half as Mohammed Sanan opened the scoring for the home side with a picture-perfect strike from the left flank. Javier Siverio pounced on a mistake from Bhaskar and scored the second goal for his side and then Stephen Eze put the game to bed with a third goal. Mohamed Irshad pulled a goal back for the Black Panthers, but it was a little too late for them.

A brief look at the points table

Things remain unchanged in the upper half of the table as Mohun Bagan continue to hold the first position followed by Bengaluru FC in the second position.
