Both teams fought till the end as East Bengal were down to 10 men.

Odisha FC brought an end to East Bengal’s newfound confidence and handed them their seventh defeat of the ISL season. The Juggernauts silenced a jam packed Salt Lake Stadium and secured the bragging rights against the Red and Golds.

Both goalkeepers were brought into action early in the game and they stood up to the task really well. The most notable moment of the first half came when Jeakson Singh received his marching orders after the referee showed him a second yellow card.

Despite going down to 10 men, East Bengal came out all guns blazing and opened the scoring when Lal Chungnunga capitalized on Amrinder’s mistake and put his side in the lead. Odisha FC came up with an immediate response as Jerry Mawihmingthanga found the back of the net with a superb strike. Hugo Boumous scored the winning goal for the Juggernauts in the 81st minute and put the game to bed.
