Both teams fought till the end of the game.

FC Goa brought an end to Mohun Bagan’s flawless run in the Indian Super League (ISL) at the Fatorda Stadium as the league returned to action after a couple of days.

The hosts broke the deadlock just 12 minutes into the game when Brison Fernandes’ shot from the edge of the box took a lucky deflection and ended up in the back of the net. The Gaurs continued to pile up the pressure on the visitors and brought Vishal Kaith into action thrice in the first half itself and the keeper did well enough to deny them.

Mohun Bagan went all out in the second half and tested Hritik Tiwari in the 49th minute before Armando Sadiku gave away a penalty. Dimitri Petratos made no mistake in putting it past the keeper and brought the game back on level terms. The home side were determined to secure all three points and they kept on piling up the pressure until Brison Fernandes scored the winning goal and wrapped up a memorable win.
