ISL 2024-25: Updated Points Table, most goals, and most assists after match 98, Mohammedan SC vs Chennaiyin FC
Chennaiyin FC now sit at the 10th spot in ISL table.
The wait continues for Chennaiyin FC as they dropped points yet again in ISL 2024-25 from a winning position despite having a 2-0 lead until the 90th minute as Mohammedan SC scripted a comeback to remember. The hosts started strong and brought Mohammad Nawaz into action early in the game before Chennaiyin FC broke the deadlock a couple of minutes later. Connor Shields set up Laldinpuia for the opening goal from a corner.
The Black Panthers earned a penalty, but Mohammad Nawaz stood up to the occasion and saved it. Lukas Brambilla doubled the lead for the Marina Machans with just four minutes into the second half. It seemed Chennaiyin FC were cruising to a perfect win until Mohammedan SC pulled off the unthinkable and scored two late goals to rescue a point. Manvir Singh scored in the 95th minute before Lalremsanga Fanai converted a crucial spot in the 102nd minute to salvage a point for the home side.

Mohun Bagan have not moved from the top of the ISL table and have 35 points in 15 games. FC Goa and Bengaluru FC remain at the second and third spot respectively with 27 points each. Jamshedpur FC hold the fourth position with 27 points. NorthEast United FC continue to occupy the fifth spot with 24 points in 16 games. Mumbai City FC complete the top six with 23 points in 15 games.
Odisha FC are still ranked seventh with 22 points. Kerala Blasters continue to hold the eighth position with 20 points. Punjab FC hold the ninth place with 19 points. Chennaiyin FC are still positioned tenth with 17 points. East Bengal sit at the eleventh spot with 13 points to their name. Mohammedan SC and Hyderabad FC have retained the twelfth and thirteenth positions respectively in the ISL table.
