Thangboi Singto also praised his young players.
As the teams return from the international break, Thangboi Singto’s Hyderabad FC and Odisha FC are set to clash in a crucial encounter on November 25th at the G.M.C. Balayogi Stadium Hyderabad. Both teams will be looking to make a strong start to the second half of the season and climb the league table.
Hyderabad FC’s young defense composed of players like Alex Saji, Muhammad Rafi, and Parag Shrivas, will face a test against Odisha FC’s experienced attacking players. A strong defensive performance, coupled with clinical finishing in the attacking third, will be crucial for Hyderabad FC to secure their first win at home.
Hyderabad FC head coach Thangboi Singto acknowledged Odisha FC’s experienced squad but expressed confidence in his team’s ability to secure a positive result.
“Well, you see, you know, if you see coach Sergio Lobera’s style of play, he likes to, take the game into the opponent’s half. Their attack is strong, they have experienced players like Roy Krishna and Hugo Boumous. But if you see, they are strong defensively too. They have a chance to play two foreign centre-backs, Delgado and Fall who are experienced.”
“I think, we need to create more chances in that case. We have been creating chances but we need to convert them too. We have players like Cy and Isaac coming in who are trying to create more chances,” Thangboi Singto stated.
“But Defensively, if you ask me, there are certain areas where we could improve. But that’s with every team, and we’re working on that. So my encouragement to them is that, if you don’t concede, then we can score at the end moment. And then we aim for a clean sheet as much as possible.
“And if the defenders do their job, then we have players who can go up front and score. So yeah, a little helping from the midfielders, has helped them grow as a team. So, hopefully, we can garner all those positive things and put forward tomorrow for a good result,” Thangboi Singto concluded.
