Roy Krishna has two longest goalscoring streaks in ISL.

The Indian Super League (ISL) has witnessed some extraordinary goalscoring feats, with players showcasing their exceptional skills and consistency. In the realm of prolific scoring, a select few have achieved remarkable streaks that have etched their names in the league’s history. 

These players have demonstrated prowess by netting goals across consecutive games, often playing pivotal roles in their teams’ success. From impressive multi-game streaks to standout performances that shaped their seasons, these goalscorers have set benchmarks with their incredible runs. Their ability to maintain such form over a series of matches not only highlights their brilliance but also underscores their importance in the competitive landscape of the ISL. 

So, without any further delay, let’s delve into the top five players who have delivered the longest goalscoring streaks in the league’s history:

5. Iain Hume – 5 Games, 7 Goals

In 2015, Iain Hume etched his name in the history books with an impressive goal-scoring streak, becoming one of the few players to achieve such a feat. Representing ATK Mohun Bagan in the ISL, Hume displayed exceptional prowess on the field. 

His remarkable run began with a goal against Delhi Dynamos, followed by another against Chennaiyin FC. Hume’s momentum continued as he found the net once more against FC Goa. The highlight of his streak came with a sensational hat trick against FC Pune City, showcasing his skills and precision. He concluded this phenomenal run by scoring against Mumbai City FC on the final day of the group phases. 

4. Roy Krishna – 5 Games, 7 Goals

During the 2023-24 ISL season, Roy Krishna showcased his exceptional goalscoring prowess by achieving his longest streak of five games. Playing for Odisha FC, Krishna’s streak began with a goal against Punjab FC, setting the tone for an impressive run. He followed this up with a remarkable brace against Jamshedpur FC, further solidifying his reputation as a clinical striker. His form continued as he netted another brace, this time against Kerala Blasters. 

Krishna’s consistency remained unbroken as he scored a vital goal against Hyderabad FC, maintaining his streak. He concluded this remarkable sequence with a goal against FC Goa, cementing his place in the record books. This streak not only highlighted Krishna’s scoring abilities but also played a crucial role in Odisha FC’s campaign, making him a standout player in the league.

3. Elano Blumer – 6 Games, 8 Goals

In the 2013-14 season, Elano Blumer made a significant impact playing for Chennaiyin FC, showcasing his goalscoring ability across multiple matches. His impressive run began on October 15, 2014, with a crucial goal against FC Goa. Six days later, Elano netted another goal against Kerala Blasters. On October 25, he continued his streak with a goal against Delhi Dynamos.

His form peaked on October 28, with a stunning brace in a dominant 5-1 win over Mumbai City FC. Elano’s consistency shone through, as he added another goal to his tally against Atlético de Kolkata on November 4, in a closely-contested 1-1 draw. He capped off this remarkable period with a brace against NorthEast United on November 8, securing a 2-2 draw. 

2. Roy Krishna – 6 Games, 8 Goals

Once again on the list is Roy Krishna. This time playing for Mohun Bagan, Roy maintained his streak for six games. His impressive run began on January 26th, when he scored a goal against NorthEast United in a 2-1 away win. Continuing his form, Krishna netted twice against Kerala Blasters on January 31st, contributing significantly to a 3-2 home victory. 

On February 6th, he again showcased his scoring prowess by bagging two goals in a commanding 4-1 away win over Odisha FC. Maintaining his consistency, Krishna scored a crucial goal against Bengaluru FC on February 9th, leading his team to a 2-0 away triumph.

His relentless form saw him net another goal in a 1-0 home victory against Jamshedpur FC on February 14th. Capping off this impressive streak, he scored yet another goal in a 3-1 home win against East Bengal on February 19th, reinforcing his status as a key player for ATK Mohun Bagan.

1. Kalu Uche – 8 Games, 11 Goals

In the 2017-18 season, Kalu Uche demonstrated his striking capabilities with a prolific goalscoring run for Delhi Dynamos. His streak began on January 21, 2018, with a brace against Jamshedpur FC.

On January 27, he continued his form by scoring a crucial goal in a 2-1 victory over Kerala Blasters. Uche maintained his momentum by netting a goal against Chennaiyin FC on February 11, securing a 1-1 home draw. 

Just three days later, on February 14, he found the back of the net once more in a 1-0 away win over NorthEast United. On February 21, Uche scored again in a 1-1 draw with FC Goa. His scoring spree peaked with two goals in a high-scoring 4-3 home win against ATK on February 24. Uche continued his form, scoring a goal in a 5-1 triumph over Mumbai City on February 27 and concluded his remarkable run with a brace in a 2-2 draw against Pune City on March 2.
