Such uncertainties add to the anticipation and excitement surrounding the post-season period, as clubs strategize their roster changes and fans eagerly await news of their favorite players’ fates.
There have been rumors of some top players of the ISL being approached by some other clubs from the country but there has been no confirmation about the same to date. The anticipation is increasing with each passing day and football enthusiasts are eagerly waiting for the final announcement of any new decision.
Here are ten players of Indian Super League 2023-24 who are running out of contract.
1. Brendan Hamil

Mohun Bagan Super Giant’s centre-back who joined the club in June 2022 after his stint with Melbourne Melbourne Victory FC will run without a contract at the end of the season. If we look at his performance, he has been quite decent during his presence on the pitch. Hamil appeared in 12 matches and has also scored a goal for his side.
2. Saul Crespo

East Bengal FC’s dynamic midfielder who joined the club on a one-year contract after leaving Odisha FC will also run out of a contract at the end of the season. There have been rumors that he has received a proposal of contract extension from his present club but no official statement has been passed by the management. It is expected that the news about his presence in the club will be cleared in a couple of days.
3. Jorge Pereyra Diaz

After a two-year stint with Mumbai City FC, Jorge Pereyra Diaz’s contract with his present club is going to end after his season. The centre-forward who joined the club after leaving Club Atletico Platense has already scored eight goals for Mumbai in the ongoing ISL season. There have been rumors of FC Goa approaching the forward to join their club but nothing has been cleared till now.
4. Dimitrios Diamantakos

Kerala Blasters’ best player of the season is also on the verge of running out of contract at the end of the season. He has scored 13 goals in the tournament, which is the most by any player. If we go with the rumors, there are high chances of Diamantakos not extending his contract with his recent club.
5. Kiyan Nassiri

Mohun Bagan’s young forward Kiyan Nassiri will also run out of contract at the end of the season. His performance has not been at par in this season but he holds a huge potential to be a huge asset for any club he plays next. As per several rumors, Nassiri is all set to join Chennaiyin FC from the next season.
6. Roy Krishna

Odisha FC’s flamboyant striker Roy Krishna’s contract will also end in a few days. He has been the Kalinga Warriors’ best scorer this season with 12 goals under his name in the ISL. He signed a one-year contract with the club last year. Although there were rumors that Mohammedan SC might approach the Fiji player to join their club which looks unlikely at the moment.
7. Dheeraj Singh

FC Goa’s goalkeeper Dheeraj Singh will also run out of contract at the end of the season. He joined the club in 2021 and has appeared in a total of 62 matches in ISL in three years. Even if Goa doesn’t extend the young goalkeeper’s contract, there will be several clubs who will look to sign him with an attractive deal.
8. Hijazi Maher

East Bengal’s Hijazi Maher has been one of the flamboyant defenders for the club from Bengal. After his stint with Al-Hussein SC, he joined East Bengal on a one-year contract which will end after this season. If rumors are to be believed, then Hijazi has been offered a contract extension by his current club but there is no official statement regarding the same.
9. Dimitri Petratos

With the two-year contract ending with the Mohun Bagan Super Giant, the midfielder will be free of any duty at the end season. Looking at the performance, he has scored 10 goals and provided four assists in the season so far. Well, as of now, there has been no information regarding his contract extension or approaches from other clubs.
10. Brandon Fernandes

Indian national team player and FC Goa’s midfielder, Brandon Fernandes’s seven-year stint with his current club will end this post-season with the expiry of his contract. He has played 16 matches this season and has converted four assists. Clubs will be eagerly waiting to sign him if his contract is not extended at FC Goa.
