The IWL title race takes a dramatic turn following Round 5.

The fifth round of the 2025-26 IWL season once again delivered some shock and monumental results. Friday’s games saw four games played simultaneously, with the results leading to some movement in the IWL league table.

Recent results have seen huge results for title holders East Bengal FC and struggling sides like Kickstart Karnataka FC, who won their respective games, with the latter securing a 2-1 win over Sribhumi FC. Let us look at how that had an effect on the 2025-26 IWL league table:

Updated league standings after Round 5 fixtures

IWL 2025-26: East Bengal FC secure thumping win over NITA FA, Kickstart Karnataka FC upsets Sribhumi FC in Round 5

The updated IWL points table shows that some clubs have moved up and down following recent results. The IWL standings see East Bengal FC claim their spot at the top, having recorded 12 points from their first four games. Sethu FC is up to the second spot in the standings with 10 points having won three out of five games in the IWL this season.

The top two clubs are followed by NITA FA who fall to third having recorded 10 points after their five games this season and are trailed closely by Garhwal United FC in the fourth spot with seven points following their 1-1 draw with Gokulam Kerala FC in Round 5. Sribhumi FC fall to fifth spot with six points after Round 5 loss to Kickstart Karnataka FC.

Gokulam Kerala FC remain in the sixth spot after earning six points in five games this term. Kickstart Karnataka FC stay in the seventh spot with three points, while SESA FA stay in eighth spot with no points following their five IWL games.
