IWL 2025-26 Round 6 preview: East Bengal FC visit Kickstart Karnataka FC, Sethu FC welcome NITA FA

A couple of intriguing fixtures await fans in Round 6 of the IWL.
The sixth round of the 2025-26 season of the Indian Women’s League (IWL) is expected to deliver some exciting footballing action with matches kicking off on Friday. Eight clubs began their bid for top honours with fixtures at the National Centre of Excellence in Kolkata and Kalyani Municipal Stadium in Round 1.
The season’s first five rounds of scheduled contests have seen a narrowing of margins in the IWL league standings. As teams get ready to record three important points in the upcoming rounds, let us take a look at the Round 6 fixtures:

- SESA FA vs Gokulam Kerala FC

Garhwal United FC vs Sribhumi FC
Fourth placed Garhwal United FC will be looking to win again against Sribhumi FC following their 1-1 draw against Gokulam Kerala FC. A win for the home side will be huge as they look to regain their early season winning form once again in Round 6 against their mid-table rivals.
Sribhumi FC will be playing their fifth game of the campaign on Friday as the search for their third win of the campaign continues this matchweek. The visitors were flying high this season, but they are also coming fresh off a disappointing 2-1 loss against Kickstart Karnataka FC in Round 5. A win would be a huge morale booster for the club as they look to climb up the IWL standings.
SESA FA vs Gokulam Kerala FC
SESA, who lost 0-5 in their Round 5 game against Sethu FC at home, will be looking to record their first point when they welcome Gokulam Kerala FC on Tuesday. A win or a positive result for the home side will allow them to put behind the disappointment of results from earlier rounds and turn around their IWL season.
Gokulam Kerala FC will be looking to record a win once again when they face SESA FA on Tuesday. The visitors will be counting to one point into three when they face SESA FA, conversely to their 1-1 draw against Garhwal United FC in Round 5.

Kickstart Karnataka FC vs East Bengal FC

The home side will be aiming for back-to-back wins for the first time this season with a win over the defending champions East Bengal FC. A win for Kickstart Karnataka FC will be a huge morale boost for a side looking to rebuild their season after a slow start in the IWL.
East Bengal FC visit Kickstart Karnataka FC after an impressive and dominant 0-5 win over NITA FA away from home. The current league leaders will be looking to record another win and build their bid for another IWL title. It will be a fascinating encounter between two sides in the IWL standings looking for three crucial points.
Sethu FC vs NITA FA

The home side will be looking to build on their statement 0-5 win away from home over SESA FA in the previous round. A clash against NITA FA, who have started their campaign on a different level, present an intriguing encounter for IWL fans.
NITA FA will be looking for a quick turnaround following their horror 0-5 performance at home against East Bengal FC. The third placed club will be looking to record three crucial points as they look to keep pace with the league leaders till the final round of games.
