One of the players in this list has lifted the IWL trophy twice in her career.
The women’s top-flight in the Indian football pyramid, the Indian Women’s League’s (IWL) 2023-24 season concluded with Odisha FC clinching their maiden title as their near-perfect run’s last chapter got penned down with them winning 6-0 against Kickstart FC.
The victors, who lead 3-0 at the break, thanks to a hat-trick from former India U-17 forward Lynda Kom, were loaded with talents from their national side. Odisha FC, the eventual champions, lead the charts followed by three-time champion Gokulam Kerala and Kickstart while the Kolkata giants East Bengal and Sports Odisha share the lackluster.
Though Gokulam Kerala did carry a flawless form winning all of their last five fixtures, Odisha FC just lost once. Gokulam scored 28 goals in the season while the current champions of the tourney have found the ball at the back of the net on 25 occasions.
