Jamshedpur FC has seen its fair share of talented players since its inception in 2017. But one name that stands out for consistency and unwavering dedication is TP Rehenesh. The ever-reliable goalkeeper holds the distinction of having the most appearances for Jamshedpur FC across all competitions, a remarkable feat achieved in just four seasons. Rehenesh has made 75 appearances for Jamshedpur FC which is the highest for a player for the Red Miners.

Rehenesh’s journey to Jamshedpur began in September 2020. Having already established himself as a capable custodian in the I-League and with Kerala Blasters FC, he arrived in Jamshedpur seeking a new challenge. What followed was a period of immense contribution and growth.

He quickly cemented his place as Jamshedpur’s number one, his agility and shot-stopping abilities proving invaluable. The 2023-24 Indian Super League (ISL) season has been particularly impressive for the 32-year-old. The goalkeeper has been a rock at the back, featuring in all 20 ISL games for Jamshedpur so far.

His leadership and experience have been instrumental in keeping crucial clean sheets and maintaining defensive stability.  His impressive stats speak volumes – Rehenesh boasts a commendable save percentage and has pulled off several match-winning saves, and kept Jamshedpur in contention for a playoff spot until their defeat against Chennaiyin FC in an exciting ISL clash.

TP Rehenesh has kept clean sheets in five games and made 61 crucial saves in the ISL 2023-24 season which is second highest in the league.

His dedication extends beyond on-field heroics. He has become a fan favorite, known for his passionate work ethic and positive attitude.  His leadership qualities have seen him emerge as a vocal presence at the back, guiding and motivating his younger teammates.  This combination of skill and leadership makes him a vital cog in the Jamshedpur FC machine.

While individual accolades are important, Rehenesh’s primary focus remains on team success.  He aspires to help Jamshedpur achieve greater heights in the ISL.  With his experience and leadership at the helm, Jamshedpur FC has a dependable wall to rely on as they navigate the remainder of the season and beyond.
