The Kalinga Super Cup quarterfinals are set to begin on April 26 in Bhubaneswar.

The stage is set as seven teams have bowed out of the Kalinga Super Cup 2025, as the tournament heads into the quarterfinals round. With a mix of heavyweight clashes and intriguing underdog matchups, the knockout phase promises to deliver high-octane football and memorable moments as eight clubs eye a spot in the final four.

After an intense batch of round of 16 matches, Kerala Blasters FC, Mohun Bagan, FC Goa, Jamshedpur FC, NorthEast United FC, Inter Kashi, Punjab FC and Mumbai City FC have emerged as the final contenders fighting for glory in this prestigious tournament.

One of the most anticipated Kalinga Super Cup fixtures pits Kerala Blasters FC against the reigning Indian Super League champions Mohun Bagan Super Giant in a clash of two of Indian football’s most passionate fanbases. While the Blasters are riding high on confidence after their 2-0 win over East Bengal FC, they will face a stern test against an ultra confident Mohun Bagan side, who are eyeing to secure an unprecedented domestic treble.

Punjab FC are coming off an impressive 3-0 win over last season’s finalists in Odisha FC and will have their work cut out against FC Goa, a team that recorded a statement 3-0 win over Gokulam Kerala FC to start the tournament. With both sides known for their attacking flair and midfield creativity, this fixture could be a battle which might be fought till the final whistle.

Inter Kashi stormed into this season’s quarterfinals after trumping Bengaluru FC 3-5 on penalties and will face another former ISL winning side in Mumbai City FC, who brushed past Chennaiyin FC in their round of 16 encounter. While Mumbai bring experience and depth, Inter Kashi have shown they are more than capable of holding their own against top-tier opposition as they did against the Blues.

While the Islanders haven’t been at their best, the Kashi Warriors will be wary of their threat as they prepare themselves to upset another giant in this season’s Kalinga Super Cup.

Arguably, one of the exciting clashes from the quarterfinals would see NorthEast United FC lock horns with Jamshedpur FC in Bhubaneswar. Both sides have shown flashes of brilliance, while coming off two brilliant performances in the round of 16.

While the Highlanders are coming off a 6-0 rout of Mohammedan SC, the Red Miners were comfortable winners in their 2-0 win over Hyderabad FC. It will be one of the show-stopping fixtures from the quarterfinal round as only one team can progress to semifinals out of the two ISL sides.
