Minerva FC scored three goals against the Canadian side
Minerva FC delivered yet another statement performance at the MIC CUP 2026, dismantling CS BRAVES with a scoreline of 3-0, as they set up a clash against Liverpool FC next. Carrying momentum from their eight-goal group stage tally, the Indian side came out against this Canadian team with relentless attacks and pressing structure.
Minerva FC will play against English Giants Liverpool FC in the round of 16 of the MIC cup 2026 on April 3rd,2026, from 21:30 IST at Camp de Futbol MPAL.
Wahengbam Raj Singh, Konthoujam Chetan Singh and Thokchom Chingkheinganba Singh scored the three goals to seal the game. Defensively, also, Minerva FC remained compact and alerted the back line, comfortably handling the pressure with the limited threats from the opponents.
Minerva FC sealed the game in the first half

As they ended their group stage with eight goals in their three matches, Minerva FC started the match right from there. Attacks after attacks from the very first minute of the game by the Indian side over CS Braves Ahuntsic. The relentless efforts and pressing structure helped them a lot in the game, as the same plan was applied to get another goal against CS Braves Ahuntsic. A solid midfield press by two players from Minerva FC, then the ball got a pocket of space behind, around 40 yards, as they scored a long ranger, which finished at the very top corner of the net. Minerva FC led the game with a scoreline of 2-0 after the first half.
Liverpool FC awaits

Coming after the end of the first half, Minerva FC started with another good chance in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper denied it. Minerva FC slightly settled down after the first half, as they had a comfortable goal margin to see through the match. CS Braves looked more intense and hungrier as they were searching for the equalizer to reshape their momentum in the Round of 32.

Minerva FC defeated CS Braves in a very dominant way, as they will now face English giants Liverpool FC in the next round.
