Minerva FC powered past FC Boca OC, Kaptiva Sports Academy and Santa Ana in their MIC Cup 2026 group stage matches. The Indian side made a powerful statement at the MIC Cup 2026, delivering a flawless group stage campaign as they now march into the Round of 32. The boys showed their passion and attacking intensity across all three matches. They scored four goals against US side, Boca OC.

On April 2nd, they faced two tough challenges, but they thrashed both of them with a good margin of goals. The performance from the entire team is expecational.

Minerva FC faced FC Boca OC, a club representing the United States, at the opening match of both teams in the MIC Cup 2026. Minerva FC started the game in a very shaky way as the opponents thoroughly dominated the game with their counters. But minute after minute as the game grew and took shape, the Minerva boys looked sharp as their intensity was very commendable against Boca OC. From 10 minutes into the game, the Indian representative took early chances, and the result paid off. Minerva FC scored at the 14th minute of the game with a quick transition. From the left, a ball got into the space in the box, and Chetan Tiwari buried it in the back of the net and gave Minerva the early lead. Chetan Tiwari scored with an absolutely brilliant finish to break the deadlock against Boca OC, which helped Minerva. A quick transition opened up space from the left flank inside the box. A well-worked move by Chetan Tiwari early, who calmly slotted the ball into the net to give his side a lead.

As Minerva FC grew into the game with their attacks, they doubled the lead at 18th minute with a long-range strike from the middle of the ground. The attack started with a throw-in, and the ball went to the foot of Konthoujam Chetan Singh, who scored an insane longshot which turned into a goal. Chetan Singh with a peach of a strike to double the lead in the MIC Cup opener for them.

Minerva played the same kind of football after conceding the goals; they bagged another goal for them at the 34th minute. As Konthoujam Chetan Singh scored a brace to extend the lead for Minerva against Boca OC. The Indian side didn’t stop scoring as they scored the fourth one in the 45th minute, which eventually sealed the game for Minerva FC. A well-designed ball from the left which shattered the Boca OC’s defence and MD. Azam Khan with a classy finish.

Minerva FC into the round of 32

Minerva FC played two games on April 2nd as they were firmly in shape with 45 minutes. The first match of the day was against Kaptiva Sports Academy, as the Indian side showcased sheer control and dominance. They scored three goals against the Spanish side, as Laishram Mahesh Singh opened the scoring for them at the 14th minute.

A calm and composed finish from the lad gave Minerva the lead. After scoring the intensity remaining unbeaten as Rajasthan Singh doubled the lead with a penalty, Yohenba Singh sealed the game with another goal in the last minute of the game.

After thrashing the Spanish side, Minerva again faced another Spanish side, Santa Ana. They beat them in a very narrow way with a score line of 1-0. A dominant first-half performance by the Minerva boys as they played the second game of the day. Azam Khan, who scored in the first game, now sealed his name another time by scoring the only goal at the 43rd minute. A cheeky finish by the lad using a finesse trick sealed the game for Minerva.

With three wins in the group stage back-to-back, Minerva FC emerged as one of the standout teams in the MIC Cup 2026. As they confirmed their place in the Round of 32.
