Mohun Bagan fans set to get discounted tickets for Lionel Messi’s GOAT India tour

Lionel Messi will be coming to Kolkata, Mumbai, and Delhi in December 2025!

Eight-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi is coming to India this December. The Argentine will be visiting the country for the second time, having previously arrived in 2011 to play a friendly against Venezuela in Kolkata.

This time, Lionel Messi is set to visit Mumbai and Delhi aside Kolkata in what is being branded as the “G.O.A.T. India Tour”. As a part of this tour, the Inter Miami player will be visiting the Salt Lake Stadium, the Wankhede Stadium, and the Arun Jaitley Stadium on 13th, 14th, and 15th December, respectively.

While tickets for the G.O.A.T. tour are selling like hot chips, there seems to be a positive update, specifically for the Mohun Bagan supporters.

Mohun Bagan are offering a discount for Messi’s G.O.A.T. tour

Mohun Bagan Athletic Club have put up a post on social media. The post mentions that the club is offering tickets for Lionel Messi’s G.O.A.T. tour at a discount. However, this offer is only limited to their members.

The post reads “Tickets will be available only for our members at a discount of 20% from our club office on the production of the valid, renewed membership card up to season 2024-25.” The post also mentions that the said tickets will be given on 29th, 30th October and on 1st November between 1 pm to 6 pm.

Tickets are also available on the District App, with sales currently open for Kolkata and Delhi.

Argentina’s game in Kerala is postponed

The Argentine national football team was supposed to play a friendly against Australia on 17th November 2025 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi. However, the game has since been postponed as we wait for an update from the FIFA World Champions.

There are a few reports that claim the match is being postponed to March 2026; however, nothing has been made official. Anto Augustine, the managing director of Reporter Broadcasting Group, claimed that the fixture was postponed as they were yet to get FIFA’s confirmation on the friendly.

The Reporter Broadcasting Group is sponsoring Argentina’s visit to Kerala, and hence, there could be some truth to this. However, some rumours also claim that Argentina’s visit could be postponed to September 2026. It has to be seen how this saga unfolds moving forward.
