ISL: Mumbai City FC confirm signing of Noufal P.N
The Islanders have been very active in their preparations for the upcoming season
Indian Super League (ISL) side Mumbai City FC have acquired the services of Noufal P.N, the club announced on Saturday through all their social media handles. The young attacker joins the Islanders on a three-year contract and will remain with the defending ISL champions until the end of the 2027 season.
About Noufal P.N
The young gun hails from God’s own country Kerala. After starting his career with Basco FC, he made a move to his hometown club, Gokulam Kerala FC in 2022 and became an instant success for the Malabarians with his match-winning goal contributions.
The winger has been an outstanding performer for the former I-league champions across the I-League, Kalinga Super Cup, and Durand Cup.
Noufal’s swiftness on the wings coupled with his attacking instincts and ability to create chances is what makes him a complete package for the Islanders. The 23-year-old winger racked up five goals and 14 assists in 53 appearances for the Malabarians in just a couple of years.
Noufal P.N words
The forward shared his thoughts on signing for the Islanders and said that it is a dream come true for him to don the colours of Mumbai City FC.
“Mumbai City FC is one of the most successful clubs in India and I am excited to join them. It’s a dream come true for me to don the prestigious jersey and play at the biggest competitions. I’m eager to grow as a player and work with Coach Petr Kratky. I can’t wait to join the squad and embark on this new chapter with the club,” he asserted.
Petr Kratky words
Mumbai City FC’s title winning head coach Petr Kratky also opened up and expressed his views on his latest signing. Kratky said that he is very happy to have Noufal on board because he is an exceptional addition to his squad.
“We were keeping a close eye on Noufal for a while, and I am delighted to welcome him to Mumbai City FC. His remarkable pace and skilful footwork in setting up goals for his teammates make him a valuable addition to our team. I am looking forward to having him in our squad and working with him,” he quipped.
Mumbai City FC’s preparations for the next season
The Islanders have been very active in their preparations for the upcoming season. To begin with, they have extended the contract of Petr Kratky for one more season. While they have been multiple departures, they have acquired the services of Brandon Fernandes while retaining Tiri and Valpuia.
