38th National Games: Full fixtures, schedule, results, standings & more

Eight teams from states and union territories will compete for the gold medal.

The 38th National Games promises to be a high-stakes affair with defending champions Services set to defend their crown in less than 20 days. Kicking off on 28th January, the tournament will be hosting the 38th edition of the prestigious inter-state tournament in Uttarakhand.

The last edition saw a spirited performance in the final by Services, who came out as winners by a scoreline of 3-1 against Manipur. Goals from P Christopher Kamei, Rahul Ramakrishnan, and Soibham Abhinash Singh put the game beyond Manipur’s reach.

This year, 8 teams will again battle it out in the tournament with Services and Uttarakhand automatically qualifying as champions and hosts respectively. With Punjab and West Bengal winning the most number of gold medals historically, the participating teams will be looking to make some history of their own.

Football fans in Uttarakhand and from participating states all over the country will b ready for what promises to be an exciting tournament.

Format

The eight teams have been divided into two groups of four teams each, with the states set to play each other in a round-robin format, before the top two states from each group make it to the semi-finals. The winners from the respective semi-final games will then face each other in the final gold medal match.

38th National Games Venue

All the games including the inter-state football matches will be played at The Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Dehradun. It will be the main venue for football at the 38th National Games, which will take place from January 28 to February 14, 2025.

Telecast
