Matchweek 6 of the Indian Super League takes us to the city of Guwahati, as NorthEast United FC take on Jamshedpur FC in an early kickoff fixture this Saturday. The game will kick off at 5 pm and will be played at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Guwahati.

NorthEast United are going through a slightly rough phase in their season, as the Highlanders currently sit 10th on the points table, with not a single win in their last four games. Their previous fixture was against Chennaiyin FC, wherein Juan Pedro’s men lost 3-2 to register their second defeat of the season. 

Juan Pedro Benali will have to try and find alternate tactical approaches, as NorthEast’s problems are recurring, and the team needs a new approach to their play if they want to keep their chances of playoff qualification. 

Jamshedpur’s fortunes have been quite the contrary. The Men of Steel currently sit second on the points table, with 12 points in five games. With wins against the likes of Goa, Mumbai, Hyderabad and East Bengal, Jamshedpur have proven their worth in the league, and have given a testament to their impeccable prowess this season. 

Khalid Jamil’s methods have so far reaped the fruits for Jamshedpur, and the Indian head coach needs to ensure that the performances remain consistent, as the Reds still have a long way to go in the league, and will have be at the top of their game week in week out, if they want to challenge for the title.
