NorthEast United FC vs Odisha FC lineups, team news, prediction & preview
The Highlanders will look to grab another three points at home.
The first game of this weekend’s Indian Super League (ISL) double-header will witness NorthEast United FC welcome Odisha FC to their backyard. The Highlanders finally returned to winning ways in their last game while the Juggernauts played out a tough draw.
This will be the eleventh meeting between the two sides with Odisha FC winning six of them while the home side have just three victories to their name. And interestingly, there has only been one draw between the two sides to date.
The Stakes
NorthEast United FC
The Highlanders will come into this game with the hope of building upon their last performance. They are riding high on confidence having secured their biggest ISL victory in their last outing.
The majority of their players have regained their form and are ready to roar. Juan Pedro Benali’s men will look to put on another five-star performance in front of their home crowd and move up the points table.
Odisha FC
The Juggernauts on the other hand will be eyeing nothing less than a win. They will be without their head Sergio Lobera and talismanic midfielder Ahmed Jahouh who are both serving a suspension. Odisha FC come into this game on the back of a hard-fought draw against Mumbai City FC. They are unbeaten in their last four outings and will be keen to maintain their unbeaten run and add some more points to their tally.
Injury and Team News
NorthEast United FC are expected to have a fully fit squad available for selection while Odisha FC will miss the services of Ahmed Jahouh who is out due to suspension.

Players to Watch
Parthib Gogoi (NorthEast United FC)
Parthib Gogoi is in red-hot form having scored a brace in the last game. He is also now NorthEast United’s record all-time goalscorer with 16 goals to his name.
The youngster adds a lot of flair, energy and attacking threat to the Highlanders’ frontline. His quick movements and pace make me an even tougher opposition to deal with. Moreover, he has three goal contributions in his last two games for his side.
Amrinder Singh (Odisha FC)
Amrinder Singh has stood up to the occasion and has saved the day for Odisha FC multiple times this season, including a strong performance in the last game against Mumbai City FC.
Had it not been him, Odisha FC would’ve succumbed to a defeat. Amrinder’s strong understanding of the game coupled with his quick reflexes make him an instrumental part of Odisha FC.
