The talented full-back is one of India’s most accomplished defenders.
Pritam Kotal might look like he’s a late bloomer but the Bengali right-back has been ingrained with football DNA. The veteran started playing the game when he was only four, joining Chirag United’s academy after getting inspired by his uncle.
Football-crazy parents supported the youngster’s dream as he moved to Wari Athletic Club at 16 and was scouted by Pailan Arrows in 2011. With the former youth project-based team, Pritam Kotal impressed enough to earn a tenure at one of India’s mammoth football sides, Mohun Bagan AC.
The high-flying full-back’s heroics helped his side to silverware in the 2014-15 season as he also clinched the AIFF Emerging Player of the Year award in 2015. The rest, as they say, is history.
Pritam Kotal never looked back and has had an outstanding career laden with individual and team honours.

What hasn’t Kotal achieved?
With the changing format of the ISL and his frequent switches between sides, Pritam Kotal has missed out on the ISL League Winners’ Shield. The versatile defender can still win it with Kerala Blasters this season and much more.
Apart from that he hasn’t had any success in the Super Cup with any side so far.
