The Indian National Football Team secured a 3-2 victory against the Pakistan National Football Team on the 5th November 2026 at the National Stadium, Dhaka, for their Group B fixture of the SAFF Championship 2026.
Starting the game on the front foot, in an attacking tone, the Blue Tigers found the back of the net thrice, courtesy of Suhail Ahmed Bhatt, who scored a brace and Manglenthang Kipgen. Despite conceding a penalty in the first half, the skied spot kick meant that India went into the half time break with a convincing 3-0 lead.
However, in the second half, India lost their momentum late in the game. Which meant that the opponents score two goals in quick succession off Najeeb Ullah and Alamgir Ghazi. However, these two goals were too faint to put the three-goal lead in doubt and at full time, the Blue Tigers secured a 3-2 victory in Dhaka.
With this win, India have climbed to the top of the Group B table of the SAFF Championship 2026, while Pakistan moved to the bottom. Here is a detailed report on the updated SAFF Championship 2026 points table and top scorers of the tournament after the India vs Pakistan match.
